X10 Commander - iPhone/iPod Touch X10 Controller

X10 Commander is an X10 Controller Client for the iPhone/iPod Touch and is a native iPhone application that allows you to control up to 120 X10 devices anywhere in the world. Ever wanted to close the garage door while lying in your bed? How about turn the outdoor floodlights on but didn't feel like walking back downstairs to turn them on? Now you can! All you need is an X10 CM11, CM12, CM15, CM17 Firecracker, or CM19 device connected to your computer and X10 Commander will allow you to control all your X10 devices.

X10 Commander consists of two pieces...a server piece which runs on your PC or Mac and the client piece which runs on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The PC application is free and available from our Downloads section, the MacOSX support is provided by the excellent Thinking Home software from AlwaysThinking.com.

The purpose of this program is simple: to allow control of your X10 devices from your iPhone/iPod Touch with the touch of a finger.

Requirements

iPhone/iPod Touch OS 2.2.1 or Higher
WI-FI/3G/Edge Internet Connection
X10 CM11, CM12, CM15, CM17 Firecracker, or CM19 hardware device hooked up to your computer.
Windows PC Support: X10 ActiveHome SDK drivers installed on your PC. X10 Commander Server running. Just run this EXE and configure it and leave it running.
Mac OSX Support: Thinking Home server software installed on your Mac.

What does it look like?

The desktop application is used to configure up to 60 devices and just sits in the tray area.

From the iPod or iPhone you will see your 60 devices and be able to turn them on or off or dim the lights!

From the Settings

application on the iPhone just enter the IP Address and Port of the Windows PC running X10 Commander Server you want to connect to.

The info window just gives you some details about X10 Commander Client. You can click the email address to send me an email or bug report.
